Mikael Lundman Appointed to Dual Role of Head of Strategy & Business Development and Managing Director of Qvantel Asia Pacific

Qvantel is pleased to announce that Mikael Lundman has been appointed to a combined role of Head of Strategy & Business Development and Managing Director Qvantel Asia Pacific, reporting to the CEO.  He will start 1 October 2017.

As Head of Strategy & Business Development, Mikael is responsible for developing and driving Qvantel’s strategic growth plan and to lead new partner and acquisition discussions. As Managing Director of Asia Pacific, he is responsible for driving additional growth expansion across the APAC region and will further establish delivery capabilities to meet future sales engagements in the region.  (This responsibility will be shared with Head of Sales).  He will also be the line manager of Qvantel R&D, India. (The operational responsibility will remain with Head of Development.)



Prior to joining Qvantel, Mikael has been an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company, focusing on Telecom and Private Equity while stationed in Stockholm and Singapore and serving operators across Europe and Asia. In addition McKinsey, Mikael worked thirteen years at Ericsson, where he held several positions, most recently as Head of M&A at BU Networks and previously as VP of Market Development North East Asia (Japan and Korea) as well as positions in sales support, product management and R&D. Mikael has also been head of Strategy, HR and PMO and member of the Executive Committee for Sivantos, a hearing aid OEM that the PE firm EQT bought from Siemens in 2014, where he established a large transformation program.

Mikael will be based in Singapore, where he currently lives.

Mikael holds a M. Sc. in Electrical Engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden as well as a M. Sc. in Business Administration from Stockholm University, Sweden.
